The Phillies minor league team decided to take on a new bat dog, 10 months old Labrador named Lucy May who has it's first game yesterday.
Things took an interesting turn of events as Lucy decided to create some chaos in the game instead of picking up the bat like she was trained to do and also decided to take a bathroom break in the middle of the infield.
NEW: Phillies' minor league baseball team bat dog takes a dump in the infield during her debut.
The 10-month-old Labrador retriever, Lucy May, was seen chaotically running through the infield before taking a potty break.
Lucy May had been training for months to take on the new position.
"The word my fiancé and I used was mortified. It felt like an eternity of her going in that dugout. When she squatted I definitely went to panic mode," said the dog's owner Andrew Davis.

While Lucy probably won't be keeping he job as bat dog, the owners will definitely have a greta story to tell for the rest of their lives.
