Possible trade offer announced between the Braves and Blue Jays for Bo Bichette
In a recent report, MLB reporter Zach Pressnell stated that the Braves and Blue Jays could possibly be involved in a three player trade that would end up sending Bichette over to Atlanta.
The trade would be Shortstop Nach Alvarez Jr, right handed pitcher Bryce Elder and Left handed pitcher Dylan Dood in exchange for Bichette in a three for one deal.
Bichette will be a free agent next offseason. FanSided's Zach Pressnell proposed this trade with the Atlanta Braves that would net the Blue Jays three players in return:
Blue Jays receive: shortstop Nach Alvarez Jr., right-handed pitcher Bryce Elder and left-handed pitcher Dylan Dodd Braves receive: shortstop Bo Bichette -Mohammed
Alvarez would be the strongest player for the Blue Jays in this trade as he is one of the Braves top prospects and put up great numbers in Triple-A last season despite struggling in the majors when he was called up.
"Alvarez slashed .284/.391/.401 in the minor leagues last season before coming to the big leagues and struggling," wrote Pressnell. "He would be the Blue Jays replacement infielder in this deal, though Orelvis Martinez will compete for the shortstop of the future job in Toronto." -Pressnell
This move could be solid for the Blue Jays as they would be getting three solid players for Bichette, a player who they do not seem keen on bringing back anyway.
Fans that would love to see a one for one all-star return are not thinking logically as Bichette is coming off a rough 2024 season and only has one year left under his current contract.
