Most fans were quite surprised when Barger started off the season in the minors but now that he is back up, he is making a serious case for why he should not be the one sent back down when Daulton Varsho returns.
Last night against the Mariners, Barger had a great game with some solid at bats and some incredible throws from left field which had fans talking online that he deserves to be in the majors.

98.8 mph to get a tagging Rowdy Tellez. Wow. #BlueJays
Addison Barger is an impact player.

• He hits the ball as hard as anyone.

• Swings the bat as hard as anyone.

• Throws the ball as fast as anyone

• Borderline elite sprint speed

Give him time to harness everything. He's a freaking toolshed.
Barger has a spot for right now since they decided to send Davis Schneider down but when Varsho returns from injury, the Blue Jays will need to make a tough decision.
If Barger continues to play like this, the Blue Jays will be forced to keep him and will have to look towards either Nathan Lukes or Myles Straw to send to the minor leagues.
