Yesterday, the Toronto Blue Jays almost got no-hit by Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Alexander. They made a strong push in the 8th but still lose… Things are going bad to worse.
Well, It Wasn't A No-Hitter, But Jays Lose…
-
Tampa's starter Tommy Alexander was so close as he took a perfect game until one out in the 8th inning when Catcher Danny Jansen singled to centre-right field.
A very warm welcome into the Rays dugout for Tyler Alexander.
What a start. His perfect game bid came to an end in the 8th.
Such an impressive outing.
-
The wheels almost completely fell off as Davis Schneider on the next at-bat crushed a home run over the left field wall to make the game 4-2.
-
But at the end of the day the Jays are in a tough spot because they only collected 4 hits total in the game.
The offenders struggling badly, granted, Tyler Alexander pitched a great game and hats off to him, but, it's not like he was throwing gas or insane breaking pitches, the Jays just couldn't find success.
