Blue Jays have completed a trade with the Padres regardless of deadline

The Blue Jays acquired pitcher Tommy Nance from the Padres two days ago in exchange for cash.
The deal was able to go through regardless of the trade deadline because Nance was under a minor league contract.
Nance has spent the entire season so far in Triple-A but has been called up and activated by the Blue Jays as it seems like their pitchers are going down like flies.
