Blue Jays manager John Schneider breaks silence on Trey Yesavage remarks to fans

Ahead of game 1 of the ALCS, Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage spoke about getting the start in game 2 and opened up the press conference with a sad message on what his family has been going through lately.

Yesavage told the media yesterday that his family and loved ones have been dealing with a lot of scrutiny from fans since his first start last series against the New York Yankees.

John Schneider backs up Trey Yesavage after press conference

On Sunday, Yesavage told reporters about what his family has been dealing with since his performance in game 2 of the ALDS and stated that it is not right how some fans have been treating them.
Trey Yesavage opened his Sunday press conference ahead of his Game 2 ALCS start with the following message:
After the comments, Schneider spoke to the media about it stating that he gives Yesavage a ton of credit to speaking his mind and fully supports him opening up about what has been going on.
#BlueJays manager John Schneider was fully supportive of Trey Yesavage using his platform to defend his family from the harassment they've received.
Despite all of this going on behind the scenes, Yesavage also stated that he is ready for his start today and has all the confidence in the world going into game 2 thanks to his teammates support.
Yesavage on being named #BlueJays' Game 2 starter vs SEA:

"Being able to go out there and play for this team is special. The clubhouse is rallied behind me, and I have all the confidence in the world."
Yesavage had a phenomenal start to his MLB post-season career in the ALDS and will have a lot to live up to this afternoon but the majority of the fan base has a ton of confidence in the young pitcher.
