The Blue Jays offense has been incredibly inconsistent this season but it seems like the numbers, especially OPS is not as bad as fans think.
A recent report shows that 7 batters for the Blue Jays have an OPS of over .700 which is not terrible. Some could be higher such as Justin Turner who has a .702 OPS but the rest are close to .750 with Guerrero at .759, Jansen at .757 and Horwitz who has had less at bats but has a .862.
Current players with a min. OPS of .700:
Horwitz (.862 OPS)
Vladdy (.759 OPS)
Jansen (.757 OPS)
Schneider (.749 OPS)
Clement (.733 OPS)
Varsho (.732 OPS)
Turner (.702 OPS)
Horwitz (.862 OPS)
Vladdy (.759 OPS)
Jansen (.757 OPS)
Schneider (.749 OPS)
Clement (.733 OPS)
Varsho (.732 OPS)
Turner (.702 OPS)
While this not necessarily incredible, it is also not awful and some fans believe that the Blue Jays lineup should have these 7 players in it the majority of the time.
