The Blue Jays are turning Rogers Centre into a golf course this winter. Fans will tee off from the upper deck from Jan. 20 to 24.
The club announced Michelob Ultra Upper Deck Golf on Wednesday. It's the first time the event has come to Canada.
The setup is wild. Tee boxes start on the 200 level and climb all the way to the 500 level, with greens set up on the field below.
Each round is a 90-minute, nine-hole loop. Food and drinks are available before and after.
Standard tee times cost $125 per golfer, with a two-player minimum. Season Ticket Members and Quarter Season Ticket Members get a pre-sale window starting Oct. 26.
Golfers must be 12 or older, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian. Groups of 50-plus can book private experiences.
Rogers Centre finally has something clearing the fence
Marnie Starkman, the Blue Jays' EVP of business operations, called it "a new way to experience our ballpark in the heart of winter."
The tour hits other big-league parks, too, including Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field and Fenway Park.
Upper Deck Golf's Marc Bender and Adam Wachter called the Toronto stop "a massive milestone." They've been transforming ballparks for nearly 10 years.
Is it a gimmick? Sure, but it's a fun one, and a building that would otherwise sit mostly empty until March might as well earn its keep.
Here's the uncomfortable joke. A lineup that hit the fewest home runs in baseball in 2026 just watched its ballpark get booked for people specifically trying to launch balls into the outfield.
It's like a band renting out its stage for karaoke night between tours. The crowd has fun, but everyone is still waiting on the headliner.
It also fits a pattern. Under Mark Shapiro, the Jays have been aggressive about finding new revenue, and fans packed 61 sellouts into a last-place season anyway.
For a couple of hours, golfers get a view few will ever forget. The front office's real job this winter is making sure the next balls flying out of Rogers Centre come off Blue Jays bats in April.
