Yimi Garcia' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Chad Green, who secured the Blue Jays' initial two saves this season, breezed through the eighth inning against the Rockies' lineup.
In the ninth, Yimi Garcia faced Colorado's bottom of the order hitters. The right-hander struck out Brendan Rodgers, Elehuris Montero, and Brenton Doyle on just 12 pitches. Despite his stellar performance, Garcia probably still trails Green to be solidified as the Jays closer.
This comes particularly with Jordan Romano nearing a return from injury after his Triple-A rehab appearances. Thus, Garcia's chances for additional saves could be limited going forward. He may be a great set up man if he continues to pitch like that.
