Fans are not happy with Former Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen in latest update

Tampa Bay Rays fans are starting to get fed up with former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen after the latest update.
The Blue Jays traded Jansen at the trade deadline last year to the Boston Red Sox and in the off-season had the chance to bring him back but decided against it resulting in him landing in Tampa Bay.
Rays fans are not happy with former Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen
The Rays signed Jansen to a one year deal which Jansen was hoping for an incredible season so that he would be able to sign a new long term deal in free agency but that does not look like it will happen.
Fans in Tampa Bay are starting to get fed up with Jansen as his struggles at the plate have hit a new all-time low with a .197 batting average on the season to go along with 5 homeruns and 14 RBIs in 45 games.
Now with the Tampa Bay Rays for the 2025 MLB season, Rays fans are quickly learning that same Jansen reality that Blue Jays fans were all too familiar with.
In 45 games so far this year that has included 42 starts, the veteran 30-year-old catcher has mustered just a feeble .197 average, .660 OPS, along with 15 runs scored, five doubles, five home runs, 14 RBIs and 40 strikeouts in just 137 at-bats. -Eng

On the other side of the ball, Jansen has seen much better season as he has already committed five errors this year which is tied for the most in the American League which is normally his strong suit.
Just to add insult to injury, Jansen has also committed five errors already on the year to tie for the American League lead. His current .986 fielding percentage would put him on pace for the lowest mark of his career. -Eng
Fans have been vocalizing their disappointment online with Jansen as many were expecting a lot more from the veteran catcher but Blue Jays fans are not exactly surprised as they have seen these issues before from him.
Hopefully Jansen will turn his season around because with how he is playing, there is no way he will be able to land himself a long term deal in free agency.
