Former Toronto Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos is under serious heat right now with the Atlanta Braves similar to the pressure Ross Atkins is feeling in Toronto.

The job of GM is never easy which is why many fans will start to point the finger at them rather quickly when a team is not delivering which is exactly what Anthopoulos is feeling right now in Atlanta.

The Braves did win the World Series back in 2021 under Anthopoulos leadership but many believe that since then he has ruined the team with many mistakes in free agency over the past few years.
It's insane how AA has ruined this team but 75% of the fanbase still praises him for a season that was 4 years ago.

Fumbled signing a franchise legend in Freeman to bet on Olson, who really hasn't been the answer if we're being honest.

Fumbled signing Dansby and has yet to find a decent shortstop to fill in the gaping hole.

Fumbled signing Fried, who is likely to win the Cy this year, while Sale regresses and Strider will never be the same.

Traded Contreras for Murphy, who had a good 3 months before falling off the face of the planet and is having his job taken by a rookie.

Signed Harris to a long term deal after a rookie season, where he's now unable to scrape a .600 OPS

Terrible trades, terrible deals, allowed stars to walk for nothing, but let's be grateful the three random players he traded for in July of 2021 got hot at the perfect time.
The Braves currently sit with a 26-29 record on the season after a strange off-season which is why Anthopoulos has been dealing with some much criticism lately.
However, these days the Braves are struggling to join the playoff race in the NL, and currently have a record of 26-29 (.473). And as a result, I've started to see more frequent criticism of Anthopoulos' work coming from Braves fans. Take the tweet and comment section below it as a prime example: -Henderson

One of the biggest mistakes of the off-season many believe was letting pitcher Max Fried go who has been on fire for the Yankees this season while the Braves starting rotation has struggled.
For example, though, I understand why there are some Braves fans who are still upset about Freddie Freeman ending up with the powerhouse Dodgers and continuing to post numbers that will almost surely put him in the Hall of Fame one day.

I also understand the frustration about seeing Max Fried thriving with the Yankees while some Braves starters like Spencer Strider and Chris Sale have struggled to stay healthy -Henderson

On the other side of things, Blue Jays fans would be a lot happier with Atkins if they had a World Series win in the last 5 years but they are currently dealing with a GM who has failed to get them a single series win in 10 years.
While Anthopoulos did make some mistakes lately, to put him in the same boat as Atkins is a little bit over the top.
