John Schneider had to watch Ronel Blanco of the Houston Astros throw a no-hitter against his Toronto Blue Jays last night.

Overall, the Blue Jays offense has been hot and cold to start the season. Against the previously winless Astros on Monday night, they could not manage a single hit. Overall, it was a truly fantastic outing from Blanco, who also finished with seven strikeouts. Meanwhile, the Astros bats were on a tear throughout the match. Per a report from the Toronto Star, Kyle Tucker and Yainer Diaz each finished with two home runs.

Following the game, Schneider spoke to Sportsnet about his Blue Jays team and how Blanco blanked them out. He believes this is simply an outlier, and that they don't have to worry about this happening again. That said, fans aren't so sure of that supposed reality.

"Give him credit, that's really hard to do. (At the same time) a no-hitter's an outlier, you know? I think we're going all right with where we hope to be in terms of what the offence is supposed to do. Tonight, it's just one of those nights. You give credit to a guy that does something really, really hard to accomplish. And a loss is still a loss. You move on."

Tonight, the Blue Jays will have a chance to avenge themselves with another game against the Houston Astros. If they win, they will get back to .500 on the season. The match will begin at 8:10 PM Eastern Standard Time. If you are in Canada, you can watch the game over on Sportsnet.
