Yankees announce injury update on Aaron Judge
The Blue Jays have clearly been the better team so far as they outscored the Yankees 23-8 over the first two games of the American League Division Series.
Judge, 33, is still facing setbacks from the flexor strain that sidelined him from July 27 to Aug. 5 while also limiting him from playing defense in the outfield. The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported. -Flores
While this injury has caused some issue for Judge in the outfield over the last two months, it has clearly not affected his hitting at he has a .444 batting average so far in the post-season through two games.
Although it definitely hasn't affected his play at the plate (.444 batting average and 1.024 OPS in the postseason), it can be something to monitor while Judge still seeks his first home run of October baseball. -Flores
While this injury will not keep Judge out of the lineup in such a crucial game 3 in New York, it certainly will not help them that he is still dealing with this injury.
The Blue Jays have looked great so far in this series but as they play the first game in Yankee Stadium tonight, it will certainly be a lot harder without the crowd on their side.
The Blue Jays and Yankees face off tonight with the first pitch taking place at 8:08 PM.
