Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen is currently in the last year of his contract and as Toronto seems to be headed into the trade deadline as sellers, the catcher might be on his way out.
According to insider Bob Nightengale, the Cubs are interested in acquiring Jansen and there has been discussions between the two teams despite uncertainty on how serious those talks have been.

Fans would be sad to lose Jansen but it would not come as a surprise since Atkins already made it clear he is shopping players on expiring deals.
