Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr made team history last night against the Athletics while also hitting an impressive career milestone.
The Blue Jays had their 10 game winning streak recently ended but got back into the winning column last night with a 7-6 win over the Athletics as Max Scherzer has his best start as a Blue Jay.

In last night's win over the Athletics Guerrero went 2 for 4 with 1 walk as well and ended up becoming the 10th player in Blue Jays history to have 1000 hits.

After the game Guerrero spoke on his 1000th hit in the MLB stating that it is difficult to simply get 100 hits in the MLB which is why reaching 1000 in such a competitive league is definitely something to be proud about.
As Vladimir Guerrero Jr. noted after hit No. 1,000, «Even to get 100 hits is hard in the big leagues."
Guerrero also added that he is very happy to reach such a milestone at such a young age but his goal has always been to achieve 3000 hits in the MLB if he is able to stay healthy.

If Guerrero truly wants to get 3000 hits in the MLB, he is clearly on the right track as he has hit 1000 before turning 27 years old.
