The World Series are set to kick off tonight between the Los Angles Dodgers and New York Yankees, as both roster are named, many former Blue Jays made the cut including Marcus Stroman, Tim Mayza and Mark Leiter Jr.
Many former Blue Jays are given a roster spot for the World Series
The Yankees have announce their roster for the series this morning and have all three on their roster for the World Series but there is no guarantees they will be playing.
While Cortes making the roster isn't surprising, it is surprising to see that his inclusion didn't come at the expense of either left-handed reliever Tim Mayza or former All-Star Marcus Stroman. The Yankees elected to keep Cortes over utility player Jon Berti, giving the team an extra pitcher on the roster. -Farkas

In the opposite dugout, the Dodgers will also have quite a few former Blue Jays as Teoscar Hernandez, Daniel Hudson and Anthony Banda have all made the Dodgers roster for the World Series. The only surprise is that Kiermaier has been left off the roster for the Dodgers despite being on it and seeing some action in the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets.
Here's your 26-man roster for the #WorldSeries
While the Blue Jays sit at home, at least fans will be able to cheer on some former players even though it is quite clear the majority of them are rooting for the Dodgers and Kiermaier as the Yankees are division rivals.
