The Toronto Blue Jays have a new top slugger leading the way in their minor league system.
In a recent Minor League Report, Will Robertson's impressive streak of homering in four straight games drew headlines. On Tuesday night, the 27-year-old outfielder nearly matched that feat in just one outing, falling just one homer shy.

Riley Delaney from Blue Jays Nation writes that batting third in the top of the first for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Robertson crushed a 405-foot home run with a blistering 110.9 mph exit velocity, marking his eight long ball of the season.
"Fast forward to the top of the eighth, and Robertson hit his second of the game, with this home run going 400 feet with an exit velocity of 105.3 mph. This home run matched the organization's lead, shared with RJ Schreck and Arjun Nimmala." -Delaney
Robertson claimed the organizational lead in home runs in the top of the fifth, launching a solo that traveled 399 with a 107.8 mph exit velocity. He capped off his night by splitting the outfielders for a one-out double in the ninth, collecting his fifth RBI of the game.
"Power is nothing new for the 27-year-old. Last season, he finished with 19 home runs, second only to Damiano Palmegiani, who hit 21 home runs. Since the start of the 2023 season, Robertson's 48 home runs are the second-most in the organization, only behind Orelvis Martinez, who has 52 thanks to his two-home run game on Tuesday." -Delaney
In addition to his home run surge, Robertson is putting up a career-best slash line of .294/.412/.574. Just as impressive in his improved in his improved plate discipline, he's striking out at a much more manageable 24.9%, notable drop from his 31.3% strikeout rate in 2024.
It wouldn't be all that surprising if Robertson receives a call-up soon.
