Daulton Varsho was removed from the Toronto Blue Jays' lineup shortly before Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Guardians.

Sportsnet.ca reports after originally being slotted to bat fifth and play center field, the Blue Jays announced that Daulton Varsho was pulled from the starting lineup due to low back tightness.

Since returning from offseason shoulder surgery, Daulton Varsho has appeared in five games for the Blue Jays this season, posting a .214 batting average, a .353 on-base percentage, and a .643 slugging percentage. He's already hit two home runs, drawn three walks, and stolen one base, showing flashes of impact despite limited action.
