The Milwaukee Brewers and Toronto Blue Jays are in trade talks over starting pitcher

The Toronto Blue Jays have quite a few players on expiring contracts and it looks like the Milwaukee Brewers have their eyes on of on the Blue Jays starting pitchers.
The Blue Jays were able to finally put an end to the Vladimir Guerrero Jr saga as they signed him to the largest contract in team history but that still leaves all kind of players such as Bo Bichette and Chris Bassitt waiting for extensions as well.
The Brewers are very interested in trading for Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt
The Blue Jays have been off to a rocky start this season with many ups, followed by multiple downs but one player that has been quite consistent is pitcher Chris Bassitt who has been great for Toronto this season.
Bassitt is on an expiring contract and it looks like the Brewers would be very interested in acquiring him prior to the trade deadline to help improve their starting rotation before playoffs.
Bassitt would provide the Brewers with another proven starting pitcher to place near the top of their rotation. Milwaukee has the chance to win the division again, but not if they don't add another reliable arm. -Keane
The Blue Jays and Bassitt have yet to to start speaking on a contract extension which is why there is a high likelihood that the Blue Jays trade him before the deadline since at least they will get something in return..

With the way Bassitt has been playing this season, if the Blue Jays end up having no real shot at a World Series they will likely be sellers at the deadline which is where they would move Bassitt and get a solid return if they do.
The next two months will be massive for the Blue Jays because if they are not able to move up in the standing they will certainly be moving a lot of players on expiring contracts.
