The Heart and Hustle award is given to a player on each team that has demonstrated a passion for the game of baseball and embodies it's values, spirits and traditions.

The award is voted on by alumni and current MLB players and it was created in 2005 by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.

Created by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in 2005, the Heart & Hustle Award is voted on by Alumni and active Major League players and is presented annually to an active player who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game.

Clement was a finalist for the Gold Glove award at third base last season and has improved his game once again this season to levels people were not sure he could reach.

So far this season, Clement has hit 9 homeruns, 40 RBIs along with a .271 batting average and .307 on base percentage in 130 games this season.

Despite the season still not being over, this will likely end up being Clement's best season offensively so far.
