Rangers Sign Patrick Murphy To Minor League Deal
Murphy has been out of the MLB since his last stint in 2022 that he spent with the Minnesota Twins but after putting up some horrific numbers he was released.
Since then Murphy has been in Japan in the NPB where he has been putting up some decent numbers which resulted in him landing a minor league deal with the Rangers.
The former Blue Jays pitcher was in Toronto from 2014 when he was drafted up until 2021 when he was placed on waivers after being designated for assignment in which the Washington Nationals claimed him.
While former players like Murphy continue to find new homes and sign deals, the Blue Jays have yet to sign a player minor league or major league in over a week as they continue to wait on players like Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander.
