The Blue Jays have signed RHP Alexander Valiente to a deal

The Blue Jays missed out on putting the bonus international pool money towards landing Roki Sasaki but have been putting it to get use today with multiple international signings.

The news was announced this morning that they have signed Cuban right handed pitcher Alexander Valiente to a deal with includes a $75,000 bonus and $50,000 scholarship.

Cuban RHP Alexander Valiente officially signed with the Toronto Blue Jays today.

Bonus deal: $75K plus $50K scholarship.

Fastball: 93/96 mph. Cuba's U-23 team member at the 2022 World Cup. The photo also shows his brother Alfredo, who tragically passed away last year.

Valiente has looked great on the mound at such a young age as he was part of the U-23 Cuban World Cup team and has an outstanding fastball that sits between 9-96 MPH.

The young Valiente also has a solid sinker and slider as well which means he already has three reliable pitches at a very young age.

This is Alexander Valiente from Cuba. RHP that sits 95-96. Has feel for Slider, Sinker as well.

Signing with the #BlueJays for 75k

Fans are still upset regarding the whole Sasaki situation but at least the Blue Jays did not just sit around and have gotten some solid international deals done this morning.
