Toronto Blue Jays Addison Barger seems to have some solid potential but unfortunately still does not have a permanent future in Toronto.
BargerBargeroutfield and third base but the real issue lies with his struggles at the plate where he does not seem to have the tool to be an MLB hitter just yet.
Addison Barger has a uncertain future with the Blue Jays
The young Blue Jays player has had quite a few opportunities last season but failed to prove that he belongs despite showing off that he clearly has a strong arm when fielding which is why he has seen time at third base and in the outfield.
On the defensive side of the ball, Barger split time between the outfield, primarily right field, and third base. He showed off his cannon of an arm, which is more than good enough to play either position in the majors. -Fisher
Despite having some potential to being a decent major league player, Barger future in Toronto is so uncertain because he does not fit onto their 26 man roster as he is not their best option at any position he plays. His struggles at the plate are also a reason they do not try to find him room on the roster since once again there are better options.
However, it's hard to envision where he'll end up if he gets a spot on the 26-man roster next season, with the Blue Jays roster in flux this winter and three and a half months of offseason left. -Fisher
It is still uncertain if the Blue Jays will keep him in the organization this off-season in hopes that he can continue to develop and become the player they need him to be or if they will trade him for a player that could help the team right away.
