The Toronto Blue Jays announced a couple roster transactions this morning which saw RHP Yariel Rodriguez get called up and Paolo Espino get sent to Triple-A.
The Blue Jays announced that Rodriguez will be wearing number 29 for the team and will be getting his first start in the Major Leagues against the Rockies this afternoon.
ROSTER MOVES:
🔹 We've recalled RHP Yariel Rodríguez from Triple-A - he will wear No. 29 and make his MLB debut this afternoon
🔹 RHP Paolo Espino has been optioned to Triple-A
It will be interesting to see how Rodriguez does in the Majors after a great stint in Triple-A.
Hopefully he can do better than ace Kevin Gausman did yesterday as the Blue Jays fell to the Rockies 12-4.
