Toronto Blue Jays announce outstanding update regarding Vladimir Guerrero Jr after the All-Star Game

Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. etched his name into the history books with a memorable father-son milestone at the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday.
Earning a spot in the MLB All-Star Game is a prestigious achievement on its own. Accomplishing it five times places a player among the elite and most consistent performers in the sport.

Maddy Dickens from Toronto Blue Jays On Si writes that his father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., was selected to the All-Star Game nine times during his career, including four appearances as a member of the Montreal Expos, now the Washington Nationals.
On Tuesday, the Guerreros made history as the first father-son duo to each be named MLB All-Stars at least five times.
"Guerrero Jr. has spent his entire career in Toronto as he broke in as a rookie in 2019. He has made the All-Star roster every year since his first selection in 2021. that season he slashed .311/.401/.601 in 161 games bringing his OPS to 1.002. That was the first time he collected over 100 RBI in a single season (111) with an additional 48 home runs." -Dickens
Guerrero Sr. was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018 following an outstanding career in which he slashed .318/.379/.553 over 2,147 games.

This season, Guerrero Jr. ranks among the top three in nearly every major offensive category. He leads all Blue Jays in on-base percentage at .384 and, along with George Springer, is one of just two players on the roster with an OPS above .800.
Over his last 30 games, Guerrero Jr. has steadily improved his slash line, hitting 279/.389/.459 with four home runs, 17 RBIs, and 18 walks. During that stretch, the Blue Jays have gone 19-11, benefitting from his consistent production at the plate.
