The Toronto Blue Jays had a tough 3-1 loss tonight to the Seattle Mariners and during the game, outfielder Nathan Lukes left with a right knee contusion.

Lukes hit a foul tip off of his knee in the first inning but stayed in the game for quite some time before finally being pulled out of the game.

In the first inning, Lukes foul a ball right off of his knee and despite being in a good amount of pain he ended up staying in the game and walked on the play but was later pulled out.
Nathan Lukes fouled a pitch straight off his knee, stayed in the game, then finished a 12-pitch at-bat with a walk
After the loss, manager John Schneider announced some positive news when it comes to Lukes as he scans came back negative and he had no fracture.

According to Schneider, Lukes had x-rays and CT scans done on his knee with both coming back negative as the team is hoping he will be able to play tomorrow depending on how he feels in the morning.
Nathan Lukes underwent X-rays & CT scan during the game, both returned negative, per John Schneider.

Feeling pretty sore & his right knee is swollen. But #BlueJays will reassess tomorrow.
Despite the tough loss, this is great news for the Blue Jays who are happy to still have Lukes available moving forward as the injury does not seem to be serious in any way.
