Blue Jays broadcaster Dan Shulman speaks on George Springer
Springer had quite the game for Toronto on Canada day as he hit a Grand Slam and finished the game tying his career high with 7 RBIs including two runs and two homeruns.
George Springer, grand slam.
This is the loudest I've heard Rogers Centre in a long, long time. #BlueJays
Blue Jays broadcaster Dan Shulman stated that he spoke with Springer before the season who was looking to get on base more for Vladimir Guerrero Jr this season but Shulman was quick to point out that he has been doing a lot more than just that this season.
"I remember talking to him in spring training last year and I said what's your goal for the year and he said get on base for Vladdy and this year his goal is to hit the ball out of the ballpark. He's got a totally different mindset this year."
It's clear to not only Shulman but ever fan in the league that Springer is a completely different player this season as he currently has 13 homeruns and 47 RBIs which is his best pace since 2022 when he finished with 25 homeruns and 76 RBIs.
Should be interesting to see where Springer ends up at the end of September.
