The Toronto Blue Jays got swept by the New York Mets this afternoon as they lost 2-1 and manager John Schneider had some interesting comments to make which had fans quite upset.
Fans have not been too happy lately with Schneider since in game 1 of the series against the Mets, he decided to take Kevin Gausman out who was on fire and put in rookie Mason Fluharty which ended up costing them the game.
Blue Jays fans are not happy with John Schneider's comments after loss to the Mets
The Blue Jays had Bowden Francis on the mound today who continued his hot streak as he pitched a solid 5.1 innings giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 6 batters but despite his efforts, the Blue Jays still loss
After the game manager John Schneider spoke to the media after the game about the Blue Jays lack of homeruns so far in which he stated that he is not worried and that they will come.
Asked John Schneider about the #BlueJays' lack of home runs. They're tied for the fewest in baseball with five:
«Until the home runs come come, you've got to get the big hit. Whether that's with two outs, one out, whatever it is. Those will come, those will definitely come.»
These comments had fans quite upset as they feel that Schneider never seems upset when the Blue Jays bad outcomes and his mentality is always that things will turn around by themselves.
Enough excuses..heard that all last year and it is wearing thin. Blue Jays are a mess
While Schneider is trying to show that he has confidence in his players, this strategy on just waiting to see how things play out is what got the Blue Jays in so much trouble last season.
