Toronto Blue Jays legend and World Series champion tragically passed away

The Toronto Blue Jays announced some every sad new this afternoon as World Series champion Dr. Ron Taylor passed away at 87 years old.
Taylor is an MLB legend as he won a total of four World Series, two as a pitcher in 1964 and 1969 followed by two as the Blue Jays team doctor in 1992 and 1993.

The Blue Jays announced on social media this afternoon that their former team doctor part of the World Series wins in 1992 and 1993, Dr. Ron Taylor passed away.
The Toronto Blue Jays are saddened to learn of the passing of long-time team doctor and former Major League Baseball player, Ron Taylor.
Known to many as Dr. Baseball, the Toronto native won four World Series Championships during his illustrious career, including two with the Blue Jays in 1992 and 1993.
His impact on the game, in the community, and on our organization will be remembered forever.

Taylor is a legend for the many accomplishments he had in his life as he was a champion as a pitcher in the MLB with the New York Mets and St Louis Cardinals but it was the fact that after his playing career he decided to become a doctor that was truly astonishing.
Dr. Ron Taylor, member of the 1969 Miracle Mets who later earned a medical degree and was the longtime Blue Jays physician, RIP. 87.
On top of all of this, Taylor served in the Canadian Air Force in 1972 after retiring from baseball.
Taylor will be remembered for all the incredible things throughout his life as all the stories will continue to live on.
