Blue Jays announce big progress for pitcher Alek Manoah
Manoah is expected to return at the beginning of August if his rehab continues to go well and yesterday he seems to have taken another step in the right direction to returning to the mound which is starting to put some big pressure on Bowden Francis.
According to reports, Manoah faced live hitters for the first time since having Tommy John surgery yesterday in Florida and the outing went very well which means fans can start to get excited to see him back soon.

Since Scherzer is set to soon be back as he is set to make his first rehab start tomorrow and now Manoah is progressing towards a return in a little more than a month, Francis has some serious pressure to start performing.
If Francis cannot find a way to get out of the current slump he is in, he will certainly lose his starting role to Manoah once he is back from injury.
With how things have been going, many believe that the Blue Jays should look at options to get rid of Francis as he is clearly not a reliable pitcher.
