Toronto Blue Jays rookie Alan Roden had his first career MLB today against the Baltimore Orioles on Opening Day and spoke about it after the game.
The Blue Jays did not exactly have the best welcome to the MLB for Roden as they got rinsed by the Orioles in a brutal 12-2 loss where they gave up a total on 6 homeruns on the day.

The Blue Jays picked up right where they left off last season as their offense simply could not get going today meanwhile their pitching was no better as they gave up 12 runs.
One of the few bright spots from the game was rookie Alan Roden who had a solid first game in the MLB as he ended up getting his first career MLB hit with a single up the middle.

After the game, Roden spoke to MLB insider Keegan Matheson stating that he had been preparing for this game for a long time and admitted that he has been trying to play his best possible baseball.

While Roden is still very young, he has looked great in camp and fans have a feeling that he will be a big part of the Blue Jays future for many years to come with how he has been playing.
