Blue Jays looking to potential remodel entire team over two years
The Blue Jays have an opportunity to remodel their entire roster around Guerrero junior as many prominent free agents will be coming off the books and potentially allow the Blue Jays to shop for new players who could be available from other teams.
Players like veteran pitcher Chris Bassitt who is in his final year of a three-year deal well over $20 million a year could be used to find another quality pitcher at a younger age or even spread the money for more depth.
Bo Bichette has been getting all the attention as he will be walking to free agency at the end of the year as many if not all Blue Jays fans want Bichette to return to the lineup for the remainder of his career and join Guerrero Jr as the faces of the Blue Jays.
Management and coaching also have free agents
The Blue Jays also have other key members of their organization who will become free agents after this season which include President Mark Shapiro who has been at the helm for over 10 years and manager John Schneider who is working off his final year of his deal.
It will be a fascinating next few years for this team as they will undergo major changes on the roster and potentially in coaching and management.
It's safe to say it will come down on how well this team will do this year and whether it's a playoff team that could go any distance or fade out by mid to late July and become another organization that will sell off their assets and do a full blown rebuild.
The Blue Jays are back in Toronto and set to open their next series against
the Atlanta Braves which will begin on April 14th and game time will be at 7:07 PM eastern.
