Toronto Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr breaks silence on contract negotiations and does not seem happy

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr finally breaks silence regarding his contract extension during interview and states exactly where he is at.
The story in Toronto over the off-season has been regarding Guerrero's contract extension as everyone has been wondering if the Blue Jays will close the deal before the season begins.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr speaks on contract negotiations during interview
The Blue Jays superstar went on the Abriendo Sports podcast yesterday and finally spoke on his contract negotiations and how they are going which does not seem to be trending in the right direction.
During the interview, Guerrero stated that he was offered a $150 million contract spanning over 7 years in 2021 and that this off-season the team has been nowhere close to the amount he is looking for.
Vladdy said he was offered 150MM / 7 years after 21'. He added that the team hasn't been close to the amount he's looking for; he'll be willing to negotiate until the first day of camp. The ~340MM offer was after Soto's pursuit.
Clearly Guerrero is not happy with not happy with the Blue Jays current offer as he stated that he is ready to sign a deal but that the two parties are still quite far apart of the contract number.
It looks like reports were correct when they stated that the Blue Jays offered him $340 million prior to Juan Soto signing and that he declined it as he believed that his value would only go up after the signing which he confirmed during the interview.
This is bad news for the Blue Jays as it looks like Ross Atkins is doing exactly what he has done in the past as is trying to low ball Guerrero on this extension which will clearly never work.
Hopefully Atkins wakes up and makes him a real offer or they will end up losing him to free agency.
