The Toronto Blue Jays are currently on a great winning streak which has many believing they will make playoff which is why it looks like they could trade for Pittsburgh Pirates Andrew McCutchen.
If the Blue Jays will continue to play this well they will definitely be buyers at the trade deadline as they make a big push for the to win their first series in close to a decade.

While the Blue Jays might be buyers at the deadline, the Pirates will most certainly be sellers as they are one of the worst teams in baseball and are looking to rebuild around their young core.
According to recent reports, the Pirates and Blue Jays could end up in a trade that would see 5 time all-star Andrew McCutchen headed to Toronto as they are looking for all the offense they can get.
The Yankees look like a contender, and the Blue Jays will have to be smart at the deadline if they want to make a real postseason push. They have offensive needs, and FanSided's Matthew Sookram suggested they trade for a leadoff hitter and tabbed Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates as an option -Mohammed
"The players who do this the best are very coveted and again, would likely cost a premium, but there could be some bargains out there on guys that have proven over their careers that they can get on base," wrote Sookram. "Maybe the Nationals are willing to part with the veteran Amed Rosario (.303/.333/.449).

McCutchen is now 38 years old and far from the player he once was but if the Blue Jays can land him for a cheap price, adding his .264 batting average, .368 on base percentage and .770 OPS would not hurt.
If the Blue Jays have to give up a big name rookie or any player that has a future, trading for McCutchen does not make sense but for a small return or cash considerations it would be worth it.
