Trey Yesavage speaks on finding out he was called up
Buffalo Bisons manager Casey Candaele apparently called his office yesterday and told him he has the option of shutting down for the season or he can go up to the Blue Jays and pitch.
Yesavage confirmed that he thought it was a better decision to go up to the MLB.
On Saturday, Buffalo Bisons manager Casey Candaele puled Trey Yesavage into his office and gave him the option of shutting down for the season or going to the big-leagues.
Yesavage: "I thought it would be a better decision to come up here and pitch for the Blue Jays."
The Blue Jays newest addition, Yesavage spoke on the emotions he went through after getting the news, stating that he was in shock then added that he went numb and was not sure how to feel.
Yesavage: "It's insane. I've always dreamed about this and its finally come true. It's awesome. ... I was very emotional at first. And then after that, I was almost, like, numb. I didn't know how to feel. It was just a whirlwind of emotions."
Clearly Yesavage is quite excited to pitch in his first MLB game which is coming in his season of professional baseball as he has gone from Single-A all the way to the majors in less than a year.
Yesavage will take the mound for the first time ever in the MLB tomorrow night at 7:37 PM against the Rays.
