Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr has a good chance of making the all-star game this season but made quite the announcement to Hazel Mae in a post game interview.
Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr makes big announcement to Hazel Mae regarding homerun derby
After a win over the Boston Red Sox, Guerrero spoke with beloved sideline reporter Hazel Mae making quite the announcement regarding the upcoming MLB all-star game.
According to Guerrero, he does not have any plan on participating in the homerun derby this season and even added that there is no chance that he ever changes his mind.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. told me he will not be participating in this year's Home Run Derby.
Guerrero then added that the reasoning behind it is because it is the Ronald Acuna show now but he did state that if Toronto ever got selected to host the all-star game that he would then participate.
When I asked him why not:
«That's (Ronald) Acuna's show.»
He said he's a lock when Toronto is awarded an All Star Game.
While Blue Jays fans will not be able to cheer him on this season at the homerun derby they could hope that the MLB decides to go to Toronto in the near future so that they can see Guerrero crushing homeruns once again.
