The Los Angeles Dodgers announced moments ago that they have agreed to a contract with utilityman Tommy Edman and fans are outraged online.
The Dodgers recently signed free agent pitcher Blake Snell to a deal worth $182 million and fans were pissed off only since the Dodgers deferred a bunch of his salary as they have over a billion in deferred salary as one right now.

MLB insider Jeff Passan just announced on social media that the Dodgers have agreed to a 5 year contract extension with Tommy Edman worth $74 million from 2025-2029 with a $17 million signing bonus and deferred money.

While fans are not happy with all these deferred contracts, the Dodgers are not doing anything that is against the rues unfortunately which is why they will continue to do so.
If fans expect the Dodgers to stop, the league will need to step in and put a cap on how much money in a contract can be deferred or just change the rules all together if not this will continue to happen.
