The St. Louis Cardinals have placed 36-year-old outfielder Tommy Pham on waivers just a month being acquiring him at the trade deadline.

According to Katie Woo of 'The Athletic', The Cardinals have been debating this move for the last few days but have decided to other teams a shot at singing the veteran OF.

St. Louis was hoping that adding Pham, Fedde and Armstrong at the MLB deadline would get them over the hump and into a playoff spot but unfortunately it has not gone to plan and the team has decided to move on.

In just 70 games with the White Sox to start the season, Pham has a below average OPS of .710 with just 5 home runs. But things have taken a downward spiral since joining his new team, in 23 games with the Cardinals, Pham has a .653 OPS, a terrible .206 batting average and two home runs...

Other teams maybe want to sign him for cheap as a depth player for a playoff run but he has not proven that he still can be an elite player at the major league level.
