The Los Angeles Dodgers have been without Clayton Kershaw in the playoffs due to a season ending injury but the former Cy Young winner confirmed he will be back next season.
The 36 year old has had an impressive career and while he is not the pitcher he once was, he is clearly still an excellent pitcher regardless of age and injuries.
This season he dealt with an injury at the end of the season which manager Dave Roberts confirmed would keep him from taking the mound in the 2024 playoffs but it looks like Kershaw is not done just yet.

Kershaw spoke to reporters prior to game 2 against the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series and confirmed that he would be returning for the 2025 season.
“Mentally, I feel great. I had shoulder surgery last offseason, and my shoulder and elbow, everything, my arm, feels great,” he said. “Obviously, I had some tough luck with my foot this year, but I want to make use of this surgery. I don't want to have surgery and shut it down. So I'm gonna come back next year and give it a go and see how it goes.”
Kershaw says that his shoulder and arm are in great shape but that he has had some tough luck with his foot but will try and play next season, hoping that it all works out.
