A new face in the Jays front office needs full control to turn around season

If the Toronto Blue Jays are to be sellers at the deadline, current VP of the team needs to take full control of management in order to try and reach that final Wild Card spot in the East.

The main key right now is to reach the playoffs, and what the Blue Jays need to add are players that can add run differential statistics, not just shiny names.

The 2015 Blue Jays were destroying everyone on run differential, same with the 2021 Atlanta Braves. With just over a third of the season over with, this is the time to self evaluate and see realistically what the Blue Jays need. Are they going to be sellers and enter a rebuild, or are they going to be buyers to try and make a playoff run, reminiscent of 2015.

In 2015 they added Troy Tulowitzki, David Price, Mark Lowe and other big names in order to tray and catch the New York Yankees and reach the playoffs. As we all know, The Jays went on to win the AL East that year but lose a devastating 4-2 series to the Kansas City Royals.
