The Boston Red Sox similar to the Toronto Blue Jays are looking for pitchers this off-season and it looks like they have agreed to terms with pitcher Justin Wilson.

The Red Sox are in a very similar position to the Blue Jays this off-season as they are coming off a disappointing 2024 as well and are looking to bulk up this off-season to hopefully make the playoffs next year.

The Red Sox agree to terms with pitcher Justin Wilson

The Red Sox have reportedly agreed to terms with Wilson on a one year deal worth $2.250 million with multiple bonuses that can result in Wilson finishing the season with up to $3million in his pockets.

According to a major league source, the Sox have come to an agreement with left-handed relief pitcher Justin Wilson on a one-year deal. The contract will pay the 37-year-old $2.250 million for one year, with the opportunity to make up to $3 million on performances bonuses. This is a surprising situation since no one thought that Wilson would be the first pitcher signed in free agency as he is 37 years old and had a rough year last season with the Cincinnati Reds in which he made 60 appearances with a 5.59 ERA.

Entering his age-37 season.

if the Red Sox plan on truly improving their pitching rotation and bullpen for next season they will likely need to make some much bigger moves than signing Wilson to a one year deal.

This is a move that Blue Jays fans are happy to see their rivals make since it leaves more room for the Blue Jays to go and acquire high end pitchers.
