As it was clear on Monday night's game against the Kansas City Royals, the familiar voices and beloved Toronto Blue Jay broadcasters Buck Martinez and Dan Shulman were not announcing the game. They are taking a scheduled week off.

Blue Jays broadcast shuffle temporary as Buck Martinez and Dan Shulman get a break

Replacing Martinez and Shulman was Shulman's son, Ben, who announces for Rogers Centre radio. Joining him as his partner in crime was Joe Siddall, a veteran and regular Sportsnet studio analyst.

We must admit, its not the same watching the game without these two in the booth.

Jays games without Dan Shulman & Buck Martinez just aren't the same 😢

Martinez' break was always a planned thing. Under his two-year contract, which entails about 100 games, occasional breaks are given to him throughout the season.

Shulman will be back in announcing for the upcoming road trip to Washington and Philadelphia. Siddel will continue to fill in for Martinez for the time being.
