Reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Blue Jays will be waiting until the last minute in order to decide if the team will be buyers or sellers at this year's trade deadline.
ESPN's Jeff Passan shed some light on how the industry is viewing the #BlueJays stance at this year's trade deadline. It seems they may still be a ways away from determining their stance.
-
Passan stated that as a team being on the fringe of making the playoffs, they have to see how the season will progress in order to decide what they want to do do moving forward with trades.
He also states that there is not much time until the All-Star break and deadline, and if the Jays manage to improve there record enough above .500, they can easily switch on a dime to be buyers instead of sellers.
Should the Jays find a way to get above .500 during this stretch, it wouldn't be shocking at all to see them go from "definite sellers" to buyers. - Passan
