The Baltimore Orioles announced that they have decided to cut ties with former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Will Robertson.
The Blue Jays have been rather quiet since the holidays began but that has not stopped their rivals from making moves as the Orioles have been quiet active over the last couple of days.

The Orioles claimed Robertson off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this month and before even playing a game with the team they have announced that he was designated for assignment.

This unexpected move likely comes due to their latest signing as they agreed to a one year, $10 million contract for the 2026 season and a mutual option for the 2027 season.
We have agreed to terms with RHP Zach Eflin on a one-year major league contract for the 2026 season with a mutual option for 2027.

This is an unfortunate spot for Robertson to be in as he will likely be looking for a new home very shortly and it will be his fifth team since the start of the 2025 season.
Robertson made his MLB debut last season with the Blue Jays in which he played 3 games, striking out 7 times in 10 at bats while getting 1 hit and 1 RBI during that time before being played on waivers not long after.
After being DFA'd by the Orioles, hopefully Robertson will find a way to land himself a new deal with a team that is willing to give him a chance.
