The Toronto Blue Jays announced this morning that they have reached a massive agreement with president Mark Shapiro on a long term contract extension.
There is quite a few Blue Jays staff members with expiring deals including manager John Schneider who recently spoke about his future in Toronto.

The Blue Jays announced this morning that they have reached an agreement on a five year contract extension with Shapiro as Rogers Communications broke the news.

Rogers announced the news with a message on how great Shapiro has been for the organization over the last decade which had led to his extension after the World Series birth this past year.
News: The #BlueJays have renewed the contract of president and CEO Mark Shapiro for 5 years.
This decision does not come as much of a surprise since most expected a deal to get done this off-season due to how well last season went for the Blue Jays despite falling short in game 7 of the World Series.
Next in line for an extension will likely be GM Ross Atkins and manager John Schneider as both are due for extensions.
While Shapiro and the entire front office has faced a lot of criticism from fans over the years, the narrative has certainly turned around over the last 12 months.
Hopefully the front office will be able to build off of last season and put together an even better roster for the 2026 season.
