The Blue Jays announced two player transactions this morning that involve pitchers Bowden Francis and Brendon Little.

Francis has been placed on on 15-day IL for right forearm extensor tendinitis while Brendon Little has been called up from Triple-A to replace him for the time being.

It'll be interesting to see who will give length out of that pen now…

Number 44 for the Blue Jays has been struggling a bit to start the season as he sits with a 2-2 record on the season including a 8.59 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched with 17 strikeouts.

Little on the other hand has been off to a solid start in Triple-A as he has a 2.89 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 9.1 innings pitched and a 1.61 WHIP.

Hopefully Francis will take the time to recover and come back stronger in hopes of turning his season around. As for Little, if he is able to continue putting up the same numbers in the Major Leagues as he did in Triple-A, he will force the Blue Jays at possibly finding him a permanent spot in the MLB.
