The Blue Jays have been going through a tough stretch lately which is why there is no surprise in all these roster moves since a change was clearly needed if they want to turn this season around.
Blue Jays announce long list of roster moves this afternoon
The Blue Jay announced this afternoon that Alan Roden and Dillon Tate have been optioned to Triple-A while outfielder Steward Berroa has been DFA'd, Jonatan Clase has been called up and Brayden Fisher's contract has been selected.
ROSTER MOVES:
RHP Braydon Fisher has been selected to the Major League roster and will be active tonight
OF Jonatan Clase recalled from Triple-A and will be active tonight
OF Alan Roden and RHP Dillon Tate optioned to Triple-A
This is quite the laundry list of moves but at the same time it seems like the right decision since thee Blue Jays clearly needed to shake things up and this might be exactly what the are missing.
It will be interesting to see if Roden will be able to find his offense once again in the minors.
