Blaine Bullard is giving the Blue Jays another reason to dream after one of the hottest weeks by any prospect in the organization.

The Dunedin outfielder was named one of Minor League Baseball's Prospect Team of the Week after an explosive 6-game stretch that showcased a different side of his offensive game.

Bullard went 9-for-20 with a .450 batting average, 2 home runs, 3 doubles, 11 RBI, and a .520 on-base percentage. His .900 slugging percentage was one of the best weekly marks in the minors.

Those numbers are impressive on their own. The bigger story is how Bullard is starting to unlock more power.

When Toronto selected the switch-hitting outfielder in the 12th round of the 2025 draft, evaluators viewed his bat-to-ball ability and athleticism as his biggest strengths. The Blue Jays backed that belief by signing him to a record $1,697,500 bonus for a 12th-round pick.

Now the power is beginning to catch up.

Bullard opened and closed the week with home runs while collecting extra-base hits on 4 of his 9 hits. That surge has pushed his OPS to 1.003 during July.

Blue Jays prospect showing another level

The power is grabbing headlines, but Bullard's speed remains his best tool. He has already stolen 30 bases this season and has been successful on 88.2 percent of his attempts.

That combination is exactly what makes him one of Toronto's more intriguing position-player prospects. A switch-hitter who can hit for average, reach base, drive the ball, and create pressure on the bases offers plenty of upside.

His recent production also suggests he is becoming a more complete offensive player instead of relying on contact and speed alone.

That is an encouraging development for the Blue Jays, who continue searching for impact position players throughout their farm system.

Bullard still has plenty of development ahead of him, but performances like this naturally raise expectations. Producing against Single-A pitching is one thing. Doing it while adding noticeable power makes scouts take another look.

Toronto does not need to rush his timeline. The organization can let him continue building confidence and refining his approach while his offensive game keeps expanding.

Still, this was the kind of week that gets noticed across baseball. Blaine Bullard reminded everyone why the Blue Jays invested heavily in him, and if the recent power surge continues, he may not stay in Dunedin much longer.
