The Blue Jays have a chance of facing either the Yankees or Red Sox in the ALDS but it looks like if they face New York their might be some complications watching away games at Yankee Stadium.
"Canadians who are hoping to catch the Toronto Blue Jays in the Bronx if they face the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series (ALDS) will not be able to get tickets to the games." -Aguliar
When fans tried to purchase tickets on Ticketmaster, a note appeared that only fans from New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey will be able to buy tickets at Yankee Stadium.
"According to a note on Ticketmaster's website, sales to the event will be restricted to residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania." -Aguliar
«Residency will be based on credit card billing address,» the note reads. «Orders by residents outside New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania will be cancelled without notice and refunds given.» -Aguliar
However, the Blue Jays seem to have put in place the same restrictions as a ticket purchaser must have a Canadian address if they plan on buying tickets at the Rogers Centre.
"The Blue Jays have restricted tickets to those with Canadian billing addresses, saying the policy, which began during the regular season, is in place to «keep tickets in the hands of Blue Jays fans across the country.» -Aguliar
Clearly both teams want to make sure that the stadiums are filled with their home crowd to have the most support possible.
