The Toronto Blue Jays viewership rating on Sportsnet for their final game of the season against the Tampa Bay Rays were announced and they made history.

The Blue Jays shocked the world earlier this week when they won the American League East division as no one saw that coming at the start of the season.

Blue Jays viewership numbers for season finale announced

Toronto finished the season 13-4 to clinch the division and have a bye to the American League Division Series as they needed to win their final game of the season which it looks like quite a few fans tuned in to watch.
"Toronto's victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday averaged 2.36 million viewers on television and via streaming, Sportsnet said, making it the network's most-watched Blue Jays regular-season broadcast ever." -Strong

The highest average viewership for a game before that was the final game of the regular season back in 2016 which hit 2.07 million viewers.
"The previous viewership high of 2.07 million was set during the final game of the 2016 regular season, a network spokesperson said Tuesday in a text message." -Strong

Sportsnet also announced that the Blue Jays averaged 906,800 viewers this season which was a massive 51% jump in viewership from the 2024 season.
"Sportsnet said the average audience for the full season was 906,800 viewers per game, a jump of 51 per cent from the 2024 campaign." -Strong

As game 1 of the ALDS is set to begin on Saturday with the Blue Jays opponent still to be determined, there is a good chance quite a lot of fans will tuned in to watch as well.
